To celebrate its fifteenth anniversary, Ascencia, the most renowned chain of shopping centers on the island, aims to make a statement. These 15 years of existence embody how Ascencia shapes distinctive places (slogan: Shaping Singular Places). Ascencia has played a crucial role in modernizing Mauritius and has also contributed to enhancing the lifestyle of Mauritians. Ascencia’s shopping centers are not just buildings, but an integral part of the living spaces of Mauritians, accompanying them for years.

The question was how to celebrate Ascencia’s anniversary by engaging an institutional audience while remaining accessible to the general public.

Solution

Every birthday is an opportunity to blow out a candle and make a wish. From this came our big idea: ’15 Yrs Making Wishes Come True.’

 

This story was told through an integrated approach, across various media such as radio, billboards across the island, and the social media platforms of the malls, ultimately directing visitors to our ‘Wishing Booth’ stands placed across our 7 malls: As soon as you step into one of our malls, Ascencia offers you the opportunity to make your dreams come true by trying to win fifteen wonderful gifts.

 

The mechanism is simple:

Wish for what you’d like to see in Ascencia’s malls next, whether it’s a co-working space, more benches, or simply the presence of your dream brand. Drop your contact details in the provided box, and 15 winners will be drawn. Through this Wishing Booth, we turned the traditional customer feedback into an engaging activation. Over 10,000 feedbacks were collected, providing a burst of inspiration for Ascencia’s next 15 years.
